Biography


Carey joined Celtic in 2005 from Shelbourne's youth team and made his Celtic debut in 2009 against Rapid Vienna in the UEFA Europa League.

Carey has had previous loan spells with Bohemians in the League of Ireland, St Mirren and Huddersfield Town in League One in England.

Carey won the SPL Young Player of the Month award for April 2010 while on loan at St Mirren.

On 13 May 2013, Carey's goal against Hearts was voted the 2012–13 Clydesdale Bank Premier League goal of the season.

After leaving St Mirren, he joined Dundee United on a 3 week trial. On 30th July 2013 he signed for Ross County, he went onto win the Staggie Archive Player of the Year Award 2013/2014 and then signed a new contract in August 2014.
